Problem is, I always forget to do the post talking about how they gave me some super awesome fantastic award.

I am pretty good at paying it forward. As in, if someone does something nice for me, I always try to repay it by doing something nice for someone else in the future. Probably because I am a total karma-whore and I don’t want there to be some sort of crazy inbalance in the universe that makes me break all the bones in my body or whatever. (That gives me the heebie jeebies just saying it.)

What I suck at, however, is paying it back. I usually remember to say thank you–I am not a total creep, but I just don’t always remember to repay the favor to the friend who did the nice thing in the first place.

So, I want to say thank you to two excellent ladies and their exceptional blogs!

First to Shelli Johannes-Wells (a fellow bookanista) with one of my favorite blogs, Market my Words, who gave me the Lovely Blog Award.

And then the amazing Sheri Larson gave me the Versatile Blogger Award. I like it!

So, a big thanks to both of them, and don’t forget to check out the Bookanistas today for some really fab book reviews!

It’s time to reveal the secret, and since it’s an epic project, we decided it needed an EPIC announcement–which totally involved me dressing like a superhero and wearing a blanket as a cape… but at least I didn’t have to eat bacon!

The six of us: me, Elana Johnson, Casey McCormick, Shannon Messenger and Lisa and Laura Roecker, (along with Jennifer Stayrook—goddess of all things web design) are organizing a free online writer’s conference for kidlit writers!!! (Go check out their blogs because they are giving things away today, too!)

We’d all heard our friends tell us how much they wish they could go to a writer’s conference, and since we’re all about paying it forward, we decided to build our own.  And so, WriteOnCon was born—rated MC-18 (main characters 18 and under).

So, here’s the big kicker for May–I sucked at blogging. Big time. Apparently when I give myself a little bit of a break and say I am only going to blog every other day, I take that to mean I can blog just whenever I want.

Well, that crap has to stop. You see, I love blogging. I love seeing comments because I am all ego-tripping like that. I love the perspective blogging gives me on life–I find the cool things each day and then get to come here and write about them! So–darn it all– I need to blog!

You hear me, people. The only thing I learned in May is that I can’t cut myself any Slack (haha that used to be my last name, you know).

And so–for the REST of June– you will see a blog post here every freakin’ day.

Dammit.

Because I’m here instead!

But, while I’m gone, let’s all give a school girl squee about new Glee this week. This scene always makes me cry, but then again so do Disney movies–so, there’s that.
