My Ode to YA Authors
Yeah, I can’t believe I did this…
The lyrics… in case I freaked you out. 
Stephenie Meyer wrote a book called Twilight
I mean, maybe you’ve heard of it apparently they made it into a movie
What about Ally Carter, I mean she’s just as good.
Her characters speak several languages, and they’re awesome spies.
And then there’s David Westerfeld his steampunk is the best.
And we can’t forget that Libba Bray she wrote about mad cow.
Tera Lynn Childs has a thing for the Greek Gods
And that Rosemary Clement-Moore’s ghosts made me pee my pants.
Becca Fitzpatrick made us fall in love with Patch
Then we got hungry and Laura Zielin, she took us to Krispy Kreme
Prada and Prejudice made us all go back in time
And the Hollow completely creeped me out, but in a really good way
I’m thinking that I need to read some more young adult books.
And Rhonda Stapleton has one out about a cupid with a bow
Marueen Johnson got in a twitter feud with John Green
But Paper Towns and Suite Scarlett both made me laugh and cry
Shiver and Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, and Ellen Hopkins Tricks
Are just a few of the books I need to read in 2009!
